Field Day Interview on KLKS Radio
Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club activities for Field Day 99 were promoted in advance on KLKS, a 50,000 Watt FM Radio station at Breezy Point, Minnesota. The photo shows KLKS staff announcer John Collins (KCØANS), on the left, interviewing BAARC President Mark Persons (WØMH). The interview took between 10:30 and 11:00 AM on June 23, 1999.
Field Day activities were announced on most area radio stations and notices appeared in most area newspapers inviting people to learn more about ham radio by stopping by the event.
