Ray Bergquist, KØZUX, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 1999. Ray was 80 years old and was a 25 year member of the Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club, He was best known by the old timers and was a life member of the club.
Ray served as a radio technician in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the first driver's license examiner in the State of Minnesota and worked for the state in the communications department. He retired after 33 years of service to the state.
