BAARC President, Al WØRC, is “Communicator of the Year.”

Alderic J. Doree NNNØKZC (WØRC) has been selected as "Region Four Communicator of the Year for 2002" and has been awarded a 'Letter of Commendation' from The Chief, Navy-Marine Corps Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS) commending his service, dedication and significant contributions to the MARS Program and to Amateur Radio. Al is currently the Assistant to the State Director for Emergency Communications Planning and is helping foster a closer working relationship between MARS and several federal and local agencies by ensuring MARS remains prepared to assist in emergency communications. Al's remarkable initiative and dedication have significantly contributed to the welfare of armed forces personnel stationed worldwide. Al is a respected and valued member of the United States Naval Telecommunications System and is commended for his loyal dedication to the Navy-Marine Corps MARS program.
