Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club
"Summer Dinner"
 May 30, 2002

The "Annual Summer Dinner" of the Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club drew a hungry crowd of 49 people.  The event gave club members the ability to see the Club Communications Trailer which was recently outfitted with radios.

(l-r) BAARC President Al Doree WØRC, John Myers W3MQD, and his wife Vi.  John is holding a plaque which reads,

Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club
Mobile Communications Unit
Made possible by a gift from
W3MQD
John and Vi Myers

The plaque will be be permanently affixed to the communications trailer which was made possible by their donation of a motor home to the Club.  That home was sold to raise money for the trailer.

Entertainment for the evening was arranged by Sharon KBØSQX.  It was European music played by Jessica Kroll and Juergen Brunkhorst both of Long Prairie.

Afterward, they received a big round of applause.  Club President Al Doree WØRC said it was like making contact with six European countries.

Many of the assembled dinner guests are shown here with the new Communications Trailer in the background.  A fun time was had by all.
