Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club  

The BAARC will held a regular membership meeting Thursday, February 26th    The speakers were Mike and Jackie Fynboh (no callsigns yet).

Mike Fynboh and his wife Jackie are owners of Cascade Computers in Pequot Lakes, MN. Mike worked for Hunt Technologies for years before starting his computer shop.  Mike and Jackie explained E-mail SPAM and ways to reduce it. This is a difficult and growing problem. Unlike Tele-marketing, there are no laws in place to prevent it. Changing e-mail addresses frequently or having more than one e-mail address are two solutions. Spam filters are the only other viable way of dealing with the situation.
