Battery Recycling Program

Through the courtesy of Brian Musech, owner of Batteries Plus stores in St. Cloud and Brainerd, BAARC members have a convenient means of recycling NiCad, Lithium, or other rechargeable batteries. This includes old cordless power tools and cell phones, rechargeable razors, electric can openers, HT power packs, etc. Liquid Ni-Cads cannot be recycled through this program. According to Brian, newer (mercury free) dry-cell batteries (AA, D, etc.) may now be disposed of in normal household trash.

Drop off your old batteries at the Batteries Plus store in Brainerd.  They are at 923 Washington Street, about three blocks east of the landmark concrete water tower on the north side of the the street.  There is no charge for disposal.
