On Feb. 12th, 2002 Washington Middle School held an Activity Day in which the students could participate in various career and hobby activities.  The Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club opened their club station at the Mississippi Horizons school.  61 Washington middle school students and 4 teachers participated in on the air communications with other amateur radio operators in the U.S. and several foreign countries.  All students and teachers that wanted to had an opportunity to talk on the radio.

Six BAARC members operated the station. They were Orcy WØQT, Darrell KCØFYC, Mark WØMH, Ken KAØJSW, Shirley KCØDCW and Al WØRC. Everyone had a good time and we look forward to doing this again sometime.
