Antennas Tested....February 15, 2003 |

The Brainerd Area Amateur Radio Club
had five Decibel Products DB-224 vertically polarized 150-160 MHz antennas for
sale. They have a gain of 6 dBd/8.1 dBi. The photo to the left
shows Mark WØMH
using a spectrum analyzer and return loss bridge to check one of the antennas
on the left. He was aided by Jim
WAØAXB. In the background is Jim's mobile unit. A photo on the right shows a clearer image from the
manufacturer's catalog. The antenna is 21 feet in length and can be
easily modified to cover the 144 to 148 MHz 2-meter band.
