Roger Williams  WØWUG

The BAARC will held a regular membership meeting Thursday, April 29th.

Roger Williams WØWUG gave an excellent talk on lightning and lightning protection at the April 29th Membership Meeting. A lightning strike involves millions of volts and typically 18,000 amperes of current. He explained high and low impedance grounds and how to create each one for the desired effect. The coaxial cable surge protector he is holding in his right hand is made by PolyPhaser. There are notes on their website specifically for hams. See: http://www.polyphaser.com/ppc_PEN1016.asp

The next meeting is the Annual Spring Dinner on June 2nd.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Jack Miller, BAARC V.P. and Program Chairman.
