Jared is retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served in Alaska with a communications unit. Although he is not a Ham, Jared knows what Amateur Radio is about and has seen Hams in action providing emergency communications.

Crosslake Communications is owned by the City of Crosslake and provides telephone, television, and the Internet to residents in that area. Their most recent project involves running fiber optic cables to homes and businesses. All of their services are now available on fiber replacing traditional copper cables.
