Club Membership Meeting on Thursday, February 28, 2008

Carol Christenson, KCØMAK, Warning Coordination Officer from the Duluth office of the NWS (National Weather Service) and Doug Nelson AAØAW were the presenters at the meeting. They explained how Ham nets input storm observations to the NWS helping to gain a better understanding of severe weather so the public can be appropriately informed thus saving lives. 

Skywarn training will be held in Brainerd on April 15th.

Paula WØHA and Alan KDØCJL...just a couple of cut-ups.  Alan became a ham after a recent class and testing in December.  Good going, Alan!

Our next membership meeting is on Thursday, March 27th, when we will discuss emergency net procedures.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
