The BAARC Community Event Committee coordinates hams for public service in the area.  Those events include the Annual Jaycees Fishing Extravaganza where $150,000 is raised for charity, the Bicycle Tour of the Lakes, the Goblin Watch at Halloween, the Aitkin Sled-Dog Races, and more.  These activities are fun for the ham operators who volunteer their time in providing communications.
