Volunteer Examiner Testing Session October 24th and 25th, 2006 |
The Brainerd Area Amateur
Radio Club will held an ARRL VEC testing session for all classes of licenses on

A testing session on
Wednesday night, October 25th, resulted in four more passing the
Technician exam. (l-r)Mark Turner, Steve Mott, Keith Bachman, and
Kurt Doree. Steve passed the written test for General and will be
studying code. He is the son of Curt NØCRM.
Kurt is the son of Al WØRC and
Shirley KCØDCW.
Congratulations to the sixteen who passed the exams. A big thanks to instructors Al WØRC and John WØJGY for teaching six weeks of class preparing the students for testing. |

Received a call from my son
yesterday, November 1st, about noon.
He told me he has his new call and asked me to get on the Brainerd
147.225+ Repeater for his first contact.
I did so and many other hams chimed in with congrats..Steve
WØTNT,
Fritz WØKO,
Dave KCØTGT,
and Lyle KØLFV.
I'm so proud to be his first. My feet still haven't touched
the ground yet. you may say I'm a little proud.
