Now that our 4th annual Hamfest is history, I would like to thank the many people that made it possible. Starting with Sharon KBØSQX and Shirley KCØDCW for cooking Cactus Bob’s Chili on Friday. Jim WØIRE and crew of many other club members, too numerous to mention for set up on Friday and the take down on Saturday, Dave KBØVYI for the excellent sound system. Terry KIØFW and Jim KBØTXT did a great job on the talk in. Jim WØJDS and Charles W5CCL manned the ticket table all day and Fritz WØKO had a ball selling raffle tickets. His personal contact with vendors and guests will keep them coming back for many more years. Jim WØIRE and Dave KBØVYI gave away all the prizes Fritz WØKO and Jim collected. Marv WØYHE got up early to put out the signs. And where would we be without the great help at the back door manned by Jack WØJEM and grandson Ryan, Keith AGØH, and Ed KAØEXB keeping everyone honest. Bob KGØZK handled all the money and will have a report at the board meeting on Thursday. We had a great crew in the kitchen led by Sharon KBØSQX and her helpers Cliff WØCAF, Karen, spouse of Jim WØYA, Marilyn, spouse of Lyle KØLFV, Paula WØHA, and Mark WØMH manned the club table. Again, thanks to everyone that helped make this a successful Hamfest. |
